Requirements for Eligibility:

• Age 15 to 30
  
• Entered the United States under the age of 16
  
• Continuously resided in the United States for at least 5 years prior to June 15, 2012 and in the United States on that date
  
• In school, graduated, obtained a GED, or honorably discharged veteran
  
• Not convicted of felony, significant misdemeanor, or multiple misdemeanors
  

Benefits of Deferred Action:                                        

• Individual will be eligible for Employment Authorization
  
• Individual will not be removed or deported if requirements are met
  
• Individual will not be considered to be accruing “unlawful presence”

My name is Albert Clark, and I have been elected as the new chair of the San Diego Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. A few years ago I joined the chamber, and as a young Hispanic professional, I was looking for an organization that would not only support me and assist me in growing my business but also provide me with the tools necessary to be a better Hispanic professional. The chamber gave me what I needed and more.
 
As the new chair I am extremely excited to lead the chamber with a new vision: “Unity is the pathway to success”. We are an incredibly dynamic chamber and, most importantly, extremely diverse. Our networking mixers are growing rapidly, and we are set to launch a series of workshops in 2012. We are true believers that Knowledge is Power.
