The SDCHCC’s partnership with the City of San Diego, Unified Port of San Diego, and the San Diego County Water Authority for outreach services has helped small and emerging businesses in the procurement process. Our programs and our approach in general works in collaboration with the Asian Business Association, Escondido Chamber of Commerce, Filipino American Chamber of Commerce, Black Chamber of Commerce, Greater San Diego Business Association, National Association of Women Business Owners, National City Chamber of Commerce, San Ysidro Chamber of Commerce, Santee Chamber of Commerce, Otay Mesa Chamber of Commerce, and Vista Chamber of Commerce.

During the first three quarters of fiscal year 2007 the City of San Diego awarded

1,317 Purchase Orders Totaling $14,049,878.84 to DEVO Certified Businesses.

We are trusted as the regional convener spearheading these relationships on behalf of the many ethnic and mainstream organizations given our track record and reputation.

DEVO is funded, in part through Federal social service grants, which require that, participants meet specific standards including, but not limited to, HUD income levels, residence location and business size.  Applicants may be asked to provide proof of eligibility.  Failure to provide written verification of any of the above can be cause for exclusion from the program.

As a reminder, by executing the form, you are swearing under penalty of perjury that your company meets the definition of a small, emerging, or micro-enterprise business as set forth by this program, and that all information is true and correct. If any participating agency determines that any information on the self-certification form has been misrepresented, it may be grounds for terminating all purchase orders and contracts which may have been awarded by any participating agency.

If you have any questions regarding this process, please contact us at 619-702-0790 or edaniel@sdchcc.com . We look forward to the continued success of the DEVO Program and its participants as we enter a new “strategic sourcing” phase.

Thank you for your support,
